Welcome To Abba Charitable Society

Abba Charitable Society was registered on December 8, 1999 (No. 723/99), under the supervision and guidance of Amala Insistitute of Medical Sciences, Thrissur, Kerala. Abba Charitable Society has been working for the socio, economic, educational, health and cultural development of poor people living in Adat and Kaiparambu panchayats in Thrissur District.

Currently, there are 220 members including 158 life members and 62 patron members in the society. Till today, the Society has organized many remarkable functions.

Activities

• Financial assistance to the BPL families in association with Panchayath
• Weekly rice distribution to the poor
• Distribution of dress and food items to the poor during festivals
• Distribution of housing aid to the poor during monsoon
• Educational Aid for students from poor families pursuing higher education
• Financial Assistance to poor families for marriage
• "Rajagiri out reach education project" for 30 poor students per year
• Distribution of books to the poor students during school re-opening
• Distribution of SSLC Scholarships
• Distribution of Degree Scholorships

Message from Chairman

Abba Charitable Society was registered on 8^th December 1999 as S. No. 723/99 in connection with Abba Day, 1999. Christians around the world observed 1999 as Abba Year. The word "Abba" means Father. We should see others, as God sees us. The main concept of Abba is to help the neighbours. We are grateful to all those under whose leadership the Society was formed and started functioning. We thank the ex-Chairman, Rev. Fr. Dr. Paul Achandi, who guided the Society under his able leadership.
